In a recent TechFlow update, on November 20th, Vivek Ramaswamy, the leader of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), posted on the social platform X: 'The Treasury Department maintains a 'Do Not Pay (DNP) list' that requires institutions to check before disbursing funds. The DNP screens for deceased, delinquent federal debt, and excluded contractors. However, it doesn't operate as intended: for example, the Small Business Administration has disbursed over 100,000 loans to individuals on the DNP list, resulting in $5.3 billion being paid to recipients who may not be eligible for federal support. The SBA Inspector General recognized this and recommended the agency to cease this practice, but the current leadership of the agency rejected the proposal. This blatant waste must stop. It's time for DOGE to take action.'

Musk responded that "the scale and audacity of government fraud is shocking".
